Of course with digital, a multitude of backup will eleminate complete loss but a unique problem with digitial is when a card goes corupt between capturing images and download or somewheres else like when writing files to cards turns out to also be corupt. Dual card slots of course hopefully addresses the issue so unfortunately nothing is foolproof.

Took a few thousand images from Teton to Yellowstone to Beartooth Highway to Dinosaur NP and Fantasy Canyon.

Had a strange thing happen on both cameras regarding using the new Sandisk 64GB 280mb/s cards. Perhaps emmanated from using the card in a reader that was not setup for dual rows of contacts (like the card has), but lost many images from first few days. (Used Rescue Pro at home to get most, but not all back). Then switched to my old stand by cards the 64GB 95mb/s and all was OK for rest of trip.
