Samsung just announced that it will manufacture a new ultra-thin sensor for camera phones (presumably to eliminate the hump in slim phones). What struck me as interesting is that its announcement mentioned physical barriers between neighboring pixels to prevent color crosstalk. Perhaps Sony or Delsa will start doing the same with medium format backs to permit greater movements with new backs.
