Andy from Peartree was kind enough to start this thread over at Lula:
Sinar eControl for Sinaron/Rodenstock eShutter lenses
I will continue it over here.
The headlines for this solution are that:
- Works with any lens in eShutter (1/125 versions or the newer 1/250 versions)
- Lenses can be controlled via iPhone or with the eControl unit (but eControl unit must supply power)
- Support for Sinar and 3rd party digital backs (Phase One/Leaf/Hasselblad)
- Compatible with any view or shift camera that can accommodate eShutters (Sinar/Alpa/Cambo/Arca)
This solution offers a precise, repeatable electronic shutter system with minimal vibration and some functional advantages such as bracketing and time delays. Up until now it was a studio solution, but combining the powered portability with the increased 1/250th of a second maximum shutter speed creates a solution for in the field.
