If you've been using the back on a 500 EL/X and move the back to the 500 C/m that the postman dropped off about 5 minutes ago, you can cause yourself unnecessary stress not reconfiguring the back from ELX to 500

Spent a good hour trying figure out what was wrong before I realized it was the nut touching the shutter button.

These are only available in person. You are lucky your camera does not come with them...

I lost my marbles long ago. I realized that they were of little practical help in the end. :ROTFL:
