What are "options"? It sometimes use a ring in the studio, where I can mount the ring and camera independently. Centering the lens in the flash is usually not possible, however, so the ring loses the particular reflection features that are sought from it. You do still tend to get anular specular highlights instead of rectangular or circular ones, if that is useful.
