Old shutterless lens with Leaf Credo 50

I'm shooting an old unnamed projection lens (approx 6 inch) on an Arca Swiss 4x5 setup. To trigger capture, I'm using another shuttered lens. First capture comes out fine, subsequent captures have the afterimage of the first capture. This happens even if place the lens cap on the lens, remove and capture and cover the lens. The afterimage only goes away after turning the back off and on again.

Would anyone know if there is a work around for this issue?

Have you tried using a different shutter speed after your first shot ? It could force the back to make a new dark frame.
Then you could switch back to your normal shutter speed.
