We have an Alpa Max mki and I have been suggesting moving to the new PLUS but we are also curious about the long gone XY. Has anyone here have a lot of experience with the XY, particularly about stitching?
less obvious concerns:
1) The towering body over the tripod mount point could introduce wobble
2) It might be hard to see or operate anything on the front of the body without moving to that side
3) How do the movements compare to the newer lighter builds like PLUS.
If you just have experience with PLUS and Max I would love to hear whether the new slightly larger levers are easier to toggle.
What we will use it for primarily is to make 4-shot stitches 16<>16 ^20v16
