X1D II L Plates

While I’m still awaiting my X1D II preorder, can any of you lucky souls with demo units confirm whether tripod L-plates (e.g., from RRS) for the gen 1 X1D will fit on the II? The body dimensions are ever so slightly different, but I believe it’s just the height. Thanks.

B&H said it fits but I have not had a chance to test it.

Vieri writes in his X1D II review that the original X1D RRS plate fits perfectly.

It does indeed, I can absolutely confirm that. See here:

For all practical purposes, the X1D & X1D II bodies are identical, specs are identical:

X1D II: Complete camera w/ XCD 45 mm lens: 148 x 97 x 125 mm [W x H x D].
X1D: Complete camera w/ XCD 45 mm lens: 148 x 97 x 125 mm [W x H x D].

(from Hasselblad's manuals).

The few differences between the two bodies have no influence on doors, controls, brackets and so on. Btw, you can find my review here, where I list them in detail, if you are interested: https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2019/07/hasselblad-xcd-30mm-f-3-5-in-depth-review.html

Best regards,

Vieri
