How long do these older backs to take to be ready to shoot when you turn them on? Is one of these faster than the others?

And are IQ backs a lot faster than these?

Thank you.

i used to have a p45+ and a iq180, i think the differences are neglectible, 1-2 seconds until you hear the ready beep

I remember the IQ 260 taking about 5 seconds from power on to when you could shoot. 3100 is more like 10 sec as is 4150.

You know I love doing hands on tests - it's the only way you really know.

Grabbed some friends this morning and:

11 seconds - Leaf Aptus 65

3.5 seconds - Phase One P30 H mount

6 seconds - Phase One P45+ P1 Mount

8 seconds - Phase One IQ280 P1mount

9 Seconds - Phase One IQ3 100 P1 mount

18 seconds - Phase One IQ4 150 P1 mount

These times were from startup to completion of load and recognition of CF card.

And the larger the card, the longer it takes. My 3100 with a 128GB Compact Flash easily took 12 seconds to fully be available.

Good point, Paul, I left out the media card metric.

The Leaf Aptus 65was Sandisk Ultra 8GB/30MB/s

The Phase P/P+ and IQ2/IQ3 backs were Lexar 16GB/160MB/s

The IQ4 150 was Sony 64GB/440MB/s
