Tethering my H5D40 to a MacBook Pro

Hello All!

Need some advice. How do i tether my H5D40 which uses a FireWire cable, to tether to my MacBook Pro? I haven’t found a FireWire to usb solution yet.
Anyone who has found a solution? Would be great to know.

Thanks!
Ray

I have a MBP 13' 2017, with two thunderbolt 3 / USB-C ports.
This is the solution I use to tether my Hasselblad CFV-50c with its firewire cable:

  1. Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter
  2. Thunderbolt 2 to Firewire 800 adapter
It works and can also power my back without battery.

Thanks a lot, I think this should work. I will try it and let you know.
