Problem HY6 + Leaf Aptus-II 12 digital back

It’s been awhile since I had my HY6 system, and it was a 2.10 so I never had any issues with the back, but I recall reading that some backs would need a firmware update to work with the mod2 and possibly also firmware 3.10 on the original hy6.
It might also be worth cleaning the contacts on the camera where the back connects, maybe it’s just a poor connection?
