    FYI

    the S2 is now listed at B&H - no price yet, but it seems to come - whatever that means

    B&H has had the Mamiya 45-90 listed for 4-5 months, but that hasn't led to anything. So, I wouldn't assign too much weight to B&H listing an item.

    B&H is a little behind the times...

    We've had the S2 listed on our website for, oh, 9 months now.

    Incidentally, I have confirmation that the S2 will ship by September (as planned). Pricing and exact delivery dates will be available shortly.

    I just hope it's not going to be some scary 5-digit number...

    Define scary. It will certainly be a 5-digit number. The original estimate/hope was body for €15.000, but the one constant is that it has been said that the price would be competitive with similar models. Specifically, watch the price of the H3DII-39 for a good indication of where the S2 will be priced.

    Scary = > $20,000

    What worries me is whether Leica will bundle the CS 70mm lens with the body. Hasselblad's price for the H3DII-39 includes lens, body, viewfinder & back.

    If compared to the Hasselblad 39MP combo then the S2 plus 70 lens must be in a price range of 15k plus VAT.

    This price is still too high for a camera which only offers a fraction of the flexibility of a real medium format MFDB solution - just my 5c
