Mounting Leica M lens on Nikon DSLR?

I have no idea whether or not this really works or if the vendor is honest, but I did turn up this listing.

Note that it is for Visoflex lenses only; these all will be tele lenses in a short mount.

Standard M lenses for direct mounting on the camera body would be usable only for extreme close-ups. The Nikon DSLR body is much thicker than a Leica M body, so this extra thickness makes infinity focus impossible.

90mm f/2 Summicron Ver II will work on the a Nikon body using two adapters. Visoflex adapter and Visoflex to Nikon adapter. Focus confirmation in my D700 works well, and infinity focus is maintained.

I'd be curious to know which LTM ( M39 ) Visoflex lenses work on Nikon. I have a 90/4 Elmar which has a removable head.

I'm sorry but what they say is "Leica Visoflex M Lens to Nikon F Lens Mount Adaptor". A Leica Visoflex M lens has a longer register compared to a Nikon F mount and can be adapted. A leica M lens (non Visoflex) has a shorter register and cannot be adapted.

You now have a 50lux Macro ;) Tough lesson to learn. I did the same thing once with a LTM lens. Look for a Ver II 90 cron with the visoflex adapter--I just sold mine.
