I don't have any concert photos to compete with Jorgen, so I humbly submit to you a shot of this year's crop of my photography students. We did our yearbook picture today and I am in the habit of showing up all of the other conservatory groups.

MHC: Very beautiful indeed! You got a lot out of really very little.

After that wonderful interlude with Lloyd..staying in the East..
Rayyan: Nicely seen bit of detail and a personal moment. Great grain in the first.

No temple fair without a good, old Chinese gangster movie
D300 with Tamron 17-50 @ 30mm, f/8 and 3s.
Jorgen: Cool photo! 3s and a ghost. Excellent color.

Jorgen: Nice :)
Next step of evolution (!?).
"Summer Movies" in Eastern Germany
D 700, 14 - 24/2.8G @ 14 mm & f/7.1
Hermann: Nice comeback! That lens suits these forms. Excellent composition.

That would be a walk-in, I think, but you can buy a plastic sheet to sit on for around $0.50. Here are two more:

D300 with Tamron 17-50 @ 50mm, f/8 and 2.5s

D300 with Tamron 17-50 @ 17mm, f/8 and 2.6s

Oh, and surprise, surprise... there was another concert :D

D300 with 80-200 AF-S @ 80mm and f/3.2

Jorgen: You ought to get out a bit and have some fun! The two movie photos are really exceptional. Excellent exposures and color. I'm trying to figure out the concert photo?:thumbs:

Cheers, Matt

Thanks, Matt. The metering on the D300 is good unless the scene is totally off. The colours and WB aren't too impressive out of the camera, but since I only shoot RAW, I'm usually prepared to do adjustments on the computer anyway.

No more concerts the coming weekend unfortunately, since I'll be busy shooting car races :D

Hope, I didn't forget anybody to thank for comment and feedback!

So here are some pictures from a yesterday walk around the

"Old Munich Graveyard",

just around the corner from my home.

All with D 700, 85 mm/1.8D @ f/2

I am sure, you know the German romantic artist/painter:

Not so sure, whether you know the famos Munich beer brewer!?

Hope you like it and thank you for your interest!

Hermann: Really dig :)eek:) the sepia conversion. Excellent positioning. And a real German feel to the photos.

The color rendering blends with the solemn place.

Hermann: Wonderful shots!
Matt and Rayyan, your exchange regarding Messrs P.Harum evoked fond memories. The Milk of Human Kindness from A Salty Dog comes to mind...

Some shots from the Pinewood Cemetery in Coco Plum. This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Miami and it looks more like a botanical garden than a graveyard. All shots D700 + Zeiss 18mm Distagon ZF.2 or Zeiss 100mm Makro Planar ZF.2.
Enjoy it, so different from "my" cemetery; thank's for sharing!
