Rayyan: Beautiful facade. I love ochre and gray.

long time lurker, second time poster. brought out the d300 and the light kit for the new puppy.

iammatt: These are really, really, nice! Great graphic presentation and cute as a button puppy photos. Keep sharing with us.

Excellent Texture & Light!
Anthony: Probably the best photo of snake skin fruit, I've ever seen! Nicely lit; very subtle shadow. :salute:

Cheers, Matt

Nice captures!! No snow is a good thing. It was just much more fun and EPIC when it was dropping 8-10" of snow. There were many crashes in the MN State Champ. After watching the race, I am in the spirit of starting to train for next season. :)
Driving back from lunch today, I saw that there was a "MFG CROSS" at Lower Woodlawn Park (just below the Zoo). Took my wife home and came back. I learned two things: I don't want to race cross and I don't know how to use all of the settings on my camera to shoot sports. Here's a few of the photos. Cheers, Matt.

1. D7000; AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR; 210mm; 1/160s @ f/5.6; ISO 800

2. D7000; AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR; 66mm; 1/125s @ f/5.6; ISO 280

3. D7000; AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR; 48mm; 1/125s @ f/5.6; ISO 280

4. D7000; AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR; 300mm; 1/200s @ f/5.6; ISO 800

So many excellent photos her now... Vlad, Matt, Matt and Rayyan, very impressive... and I hardly have time to look at them. Here's another photographer:

D80 with 80-200 AF-S @ 80mm and f/4

Oh... and a driver too:

D80 with 80-200 AF-S @ 200mm and f/3.2

Matt: Lovely series. I especially like the BW rendering in keeping with the dirt and grit of the race. The above two capture the essence of the event for me. Excellent.:thumbup:

Anthony: Thanks! :D You're obviously younger (and crazier then me). Go for it. I haven't pp'd it yet, but, there were two guys racing in their underwear? That'd be good for Min-eeh-soh-tah, yah?

Jorgen: Thanks! :D Terrific shots! I'm always trying to photograph photographers and a really great portrait of the driver. Nice eyelashes.

Rayyan: Thanks. :D I like the B&W, too. It also obviates exact focus. I think the sense of movement's good, but I probably should have played around with the AF modes. Lower Woodlawn Park was where I rode my Schwinn when i was a kid. We lived a block away. Now, you can't ride a bike there. I think I'll try to find another Cyclocross race to practice.

Cheers, Matt

Only a few days off and so many great pictures, no way to comment on each one. But a few I simply must mention:

Rayyan: One more time a most impressive portraiture of Hamza's sister; perfect timing, composition and sensitive pp!

Matt: Particularly like the pictures of the bike race; all the more since I'm a "racer" as well and your pictures give a really appropriate impression of the dynamics, quintessentially for that kind of sports.:salute:

Jorgen: Great pics as usual, but for me the portraiture of the Lady Racer stands out

May I offer some sights of today's and historical Munich:

"Hauptsynagoge"

D 50, 18 - 55/3.5-5.6G @ 22 mm & f/8

"Hauptsynagoge - At Night"

D 700, 24 mm/1.4G @ f/3.2, 1/20 sec., handheld ISO 3200

"Mobile Festival Theatre"

D 700, 14 - 24/2.8G @ 14 mm & f/5.6

"Contemplation - Schloss Nymphenburg"

D 700, 14 - 24/2.8G @ 24 mm & f/2.8

Hope you like it and thanks for your interest.

Hermann: Thanks! I bike commute and mountain bike - no racing. Have fun. :D
Beautiful photos! I haven't seen the Hauptsynagoge, but, I've seen the Schloss. The pp and IQ in the Schloss photo's very good, and interesting.

Masterful shooting & PP Matt!

D700 Leica R 80 Lux
Steve: Thank you! :D Excellent photos. I like the framing in this one. So "obvious" and "overused" that none of us are bold enough to do it.
