Steve: Thanks! I took a closer look. I swore it was frank SinatraPretty Shot Matt!
Matt, I Thought That Looked A Lot Like Frank Also But It's Oliver Ames Great,Great Grandson. Thanks!
Hermann: Thank you, sir!Matt: Love that one - very atmospherical! Makes me shiver ...
Lloyd: We flew from 20 deg. to around 60 deg. yesterday (DC)! I talked to my client in SLC yesterday and he you got a "fizzard" (didn't happen). Probably, a good thing.Yikes. If you're getting that, then we're in real trouble. Actually, we got a foot of snow in our yard on Sunday, and we have a "Blizzard Warning" for tonight into tomorrow. First time I ever recall our having a "Blizzard Warning".
And, a very nice shot, btw.
Matthew: +1, very beautiful! A bit different then Chicago.Stunning landscapes Matt!!

Jorgen: Wonderful series of elephant photos! Elephoto's great! :thumbs:You need to do something about the sensor of that D7000, Matt. White dust everywhere! Just send it to me, and I'll melt it away. Shouldn't take much more than a couple of years
Lloyd: More portrait magic! The color one makes the candles reflected in her eyeglasses clearer. Nice moment. Congratulations to your mother. :thumbup:My mother, on the occasion of her having completing the first 8 decades of her life. Dad in the background.

Some impressions from "Engineroom" and "Caboose/Galley" on a historical towboat (first half of the 20th century):

Hope you like it and thank you for your interest.
jsf: Very nice compositions. The textures, forms and shadows are elegant. :thumbup:New photos with Nikon d700, handheld, 55 mm micro nikkor.
Matt: Thanks for your feedback! Just to clarify that point: pictures are not made in "Deutsches Museum - Munich", but in "Donau-Schifffahrts-Museum" (River-Boat-Museum), Regensburg, i.e. two ancient boats on river Donau (Danubia). Thus the difficult circumstances to take pictures (narrow, dark, stuffy in the engineroom etc., but great fun as well.Hermann: Very cool museum! The Deutsches Museum is one of my favorite places in the world.

Yes, it was pretty much a non-event. We got about an inch. It has been cold... 6*F this morning, and only 16* right now. More like January than November. All the media outlets had us bracing for "a hundred year storm". I'm not really disappointed to have the "fizzard".Lloyd: We flew from 20 deg. to around 60 deg. yesterday (DC)! Thanks, All, and have a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks Matt. I switched the focus point from the cake in the b/w to her face in the color, just trying to capture the event. My father's 85th birthday is Sunday, so we're all gathering for another party. I'll see if he'll let me shoot him that way. He's notorious for dodging the lens.Lloyd: More portrait magic!
