Rayyan.........Astoundingly Breathtaking!:salute:
Wow. Yes, what he said.
Steve, Lloyd; Thank you very much for those generous comments. I remember Ayesha telling me, if we could sell everything and just get a small hut and live amongst these mountains. Of course she was not thinking of my cardiac condition!!

Kindest regards.:salute::salute:

I think that's a very tempting idea. However, "cardiac condition" aside, I think you'd miss your date palms. ;)

Ram, get up..I said. The sun was up. The weather was clear. The three other
travellers from Sweden were getting impatient.

Ayesha, as usual, couldn't care less. She was having fun hiking before sunrise.

Ram was the pilot. Ok let's start, he said. But first tea and some cookies.

We pushed the plane onto a clear patch of grass. Ram checked if any animals had taken shelter inside.

All aboard, he said. And we were off..or rather up.

p.s forgot to tell you where Ayesha and I were going. The Swedes..I don't know..Maybe partying somewhere.

We, however, were headed to the highest point Ram( or his machine ) could take us and set us down..We were to meet with our Sherpas and climb to meet with the Guardians..They said it would take 6 days..

Hello, said the rose.

Hi, I said.

So, you have begun to understand me?, said the rose.

Yes, took me a while though, I said.

I know, said the rose. It's our difference isn't it ?

Now, that we can understand each other; what do you want to talk about?

Tell me about yourself, I said.

Me and Rose talked for hours.

Will you come tomorrow, asked Rose?

Of course, I said. I went.

Why are you staring? asked Rose.

Nothing I said, trying to look away.

Don't look sad Rayyan, we are different, but also the same.

I sat for much longer.

Will you come tomorrow, asked Rose.

I went.

Rose was no more.

I want to take a photograph of you Yousaf.

Why?, he asked

I want to show it to some friends.

And please remove that thing and put on this cap, I said.

Why?, he asked

Maybe my genteel friends might get uncomfortable otherwise, I said.

Yousaf laughed.

I want them to to look into your eyes. Maybe some pretty lady might fall for you.

He laughed? Green card ?, he asked. Not a chance in hell, I said.

I would take very good care of the lady, said Yousaf.

I am sure you would, said I. But they wouldn't believe you.

She can even go to school, said Yousaf.

We both burst out laughing.

Yousaf works on a construction site and is from the AFPAK region.

Handsome fellow, this Yousaf. I could see a pretty lady falling for him. Too bad we have some so many 'Nervous Nellies" these days... and that they have any reason, real or imagined, to be nervous.
