A brief flurry of colour in autumn....before winter comes knocking at the door.

Another in B&W. I really like the rendering of this 1.4D. Beautiful lower contrast. Perfect for my studio work. Excellent metal build too.

Went to Wakodahatchee yesterday, a well known bird mating area. The participants haven’t arrived yet this year except for this “one” (sex unknown to this photographer).

Fall was still hit and miss this year in Arkansas. However Flatside Pinnacle never seems to disappoint. This is a early dawn shot, D850 and 24-70, two part pano. Used C1 for raw and Photoshop for stitching. Caught this spot right before the sun was up, but still it had enough light to pop the full moon. Had to fight my fears to go back as I spooked a cat or bear 2 days prior coming down off Flatside, after dark. Never been that close to something that large before.

    Amen.

My wife and I have finally completed our move from the beach to an adjacent island a bit further inland (read: less prone to flooding!). Before our house was surrounded by palms and large oaks. Now we are on a golf course with unencumbered vistas. Our community dock is only a three minute walk from our house. Tonight was the first night we have NOT had a red sunset. This is from last Saturday night.

Am I being delusional or does this image actually have a 3D effect?

    "Kick Boxer"
This is a heavily manipulated D850 shot with 28mm f1.8 G lens in Joshua Tree National Park. I've been surprised how well these sell as canvas wraps. Some don't like but most do

    Re: Fun with Nikon Images

It dawned on me that I haven't posted any shots I've made with the Sigma 135mm f/1.8 Art series lens. This is the sharpest lens I've had the pleasure to use and I've shot with a Rodenstock Apo Sironar-N 300m on 8x10. If anyone would like to see a 100% crop of either a landscape or a portrait, let me know.
