Jorgen, that just may be one of your best ever. (Certainly one of my all-time faves of yours... and that's saying something, believe me!):salute:

Thanks, Lloyd and Steve. That was a very special morning.

Very cool photo, Vlad. Your models should get out in the sun more though ;)

Going back in time..seems a long long time!
There once was the Nikon Photomic, film and her in Paris.
Rayyan: Royalty indeed! How did you get so close! Cool pp.

...
Matt: Again adorable and applaudable pictures of "your" bears, all the more because I now know a bit more about your processing efforts, thanks a lot!! But best of all, they don't at all look that processed!!...
Hermann: Thanks. :D:D:D

As well a bit fishy, but only humbly rectangular, and furthermore partially defished to taste - a somewhat bizzare beach scene:
"Bumper Cars on the Beach, Vasto Marina, Abruzzo, Italia"
D 700, 16 mm/2.8D FE @ f/11

Thanks for your interest and best regards!
Hermann: Cool image! Great composition and color. Bizarre forms.

D80, 35mm f2/D

Lloyd: Thanks, again!

Turos Head 4 by peterb666, on Flickr
Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-105mm zoom.
Peter: There are pirates everywhere! The same flag flies on a sailboat right in front of my office. Nice photo.

trying to catch the morning light as the city awakes
Nikon D300 • AF-S Nikkor 1.4/50mm G • 1/160 sec. at f/8 ISO 200 • Capture NX
Steen: It looks tropical. Interesting light.

  indeed!
Funny, though, it´s not much more than a month since we were out in the woods watching the men´s 50km of the ski world championships. (sometimes people around here go real nuts):D
Leif: That fan looks seriously intense!

Carpenter shop in a village in Bali. The hardwood has been logged off.
They now mostly use softwood.
For carvings. Mostly religious items and the National Bird of Indonesia. The Garuda.
It takes three months from start to finish to hand carve one of these..
Rayyan: That's the story of tropical hardwoods everywhere (wonder where they went?). Incredible work of art. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Matt.

As I said last year and probably the year before that, photographing the amazing hepatica is a must-do every spring: While the old snow may be deep in the shadows; in sunny hillsides it pops up while everything else around it is brown, dead and soo last year. These are from today´s long walk in the woods.

Beautiful, Leif. I especially love that second one.
The second one is absolutely beautiful, Leif.
Leif: Brilliant! +3 for the second one. :salute:

Cheers, Matt.

The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables is having a photo contest this month. Basically it's a popularity contest where the photo with the most "Likes" wins.
I entered the following image:

If you want to vote for me, you first have to "Like" the Biltmore Hotel on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/biltmorehotel
Then you will be able to "Like" my image which is here:

Carlos: Great image. I'd vote for it...if i was on facebook.

In Medieval Times, there was once a small village along the wine route in the
Alsace Region of France.
This village would give sanctuary to outlaws being pursued by the authorities.
The put a sign on their village entrance.
The outlaws, once inside the village, would jeer at their pursuers.
To this day the entrance walls of this village ( don't remember the name ) has
this plaque.
Rayyan: Interesting history. It's a caricature of your story. Is it real?

Cheers, Matt.
