A little sunshine from the middle east...

A little, hopefully not too boring, explanation. "The Palm Jumeirah" is a project, a palm-shaped man made island, along the coastline of Dubai with a size of approximately 3 miles. It can be seen from outer space (well...that's what they say, haven't tried it myself though). Rocks and sand was piled up over years to shape it. "Atlantis" is a hotel with an adjacent water park "Aquaventure" which is a replica of the one on the Bahamas.

Really nice set, David. Love that first shot in particular.

And, I'm jealous of your weather. We'll be -9 tonight, with a high of 22F as the highest predicted over the next 7 days.

Took the D4 with the 70-200 and the D800E with the 24-70 to Harpers Ferry West Virginia yesterday. It was a nice 50 degree day. Nice!

David, Lovely images of the Harper Ferry area. Especially like the B&W from the top of the hillside as well as the CSX coal trail crossing the bridge. It looks like its a pic of a model railroad trainset. I almost made the drive up to Harpers Ferry the exact day you went but instead opted for a lengthy bicycle ride nearer to D.C. on such a lovely day. Warm weather won't really last as typical witer temps return for the rest of the week :( . Still may make for some interesting picture taking weather!
