Not many commenting, but folks are looking so I will posting untill I told to stop:thumbs:

Feel free to comment or ask question.

The diver in the iconic psoe, shot a coople of post back was taken from the roof of Lindsey Park. First published in the Amature Sports Monitor under the my made up name Sherlock Todd :p.

It seems to be slow around here, perhaps everyone is out there shooting. Which is a good thing,

Clearly, I am huge fan of the classic Nikkor AI-S glass but I do have one AF Nikkor the 28 1.4 AF-D. Of-course the AF-MF ring cracked as they all do at some point, and than it feel off. So even that lens is used manual focus.

They are all good, Gregory, very artistic, I like them a lot. Really.
You just post faster than I can comment ;)
English is not my native language and I have a hard time designing comments in a meaningful manner, and at the same time trying to avoid the worst clichés.
It actually often makes me keep quiet where I should have contributed.

Interesting frames as well.
How do you make them, is it a scanning thing, or do you make them in Photoshop or the like ?

Thanks Steen,

I appreciate your kind words. Thanks a lot.

As far as the border edges, What your seeing there is the edge of the negative. I used to file out my negative holder so that the edge of the negative would come out on the print.

And on the mounted slides, what your seeing is the cardboard.

I never do photoshop. Well at least not yet. For the most part. What you see is what you get.

As far as post processing I tweek color and adjust highlights and contrast. If I think it needs more punch I will at times punch up the color. Nopt so much with film but with digtial.

Thanks for looking at some more of my work

This is another set from my early work.

Thanks Steve,

The guy with the Tomahaxked spike hair was taking in toronto. The polution was quite bad which made for some gorgous sunsets. Anyways so I saw this guy and I managed to squeeze of a couple of frames. I remember being freaked that I messed up the exposer. And shooting Kodachrome it at least 10 days to see how I did.

The picture of the girl was taken in Calgary in a really seedy bar called "OBrians" on the than, infamoius 7th ave. Anyways, it was a real dive and I thought then hot girl would get a kick out of being in this enviromet and taking a few shots. I was right and the guys in the place where loving it.
So At first i gave her a stick and had her play some pool, but the light was so low even with 1600 chrome I was hurting. So , I had this idea for the girl to get up on the table light a smoke. I just remembered I also used a FDL filter on this shot which killed a stop of light.
So anyways, this is the result.

Thanks, Gregory, I’ll have to try that someday, filing out one of my negative holders. I like it that you can see the edge of the negative, it adds something to the film feeling, nostalgia maybe :)

It must take some bodybuilding to handhold an 800mm  ... impressive.

Is it a Greater Yellowlegs (lat. Tringa melanoleuca) - or what do we have here ... ?

In any case an evocative bird shot with an absolutely wonderful mix of green and copper colors mirrored in the water.

Thanks for identifing the the bird. I knew it was yellow leg but the latin name "Tringa melonoleuca" is awsome.

This Nikon section is still really slow, so I guess I keep banging the monkey with some more Nikkor AI-S images.

How about some B+W from my early work
