Hey Guys,
I'd first like to say I am a complete noob when it comes to anything technical with cameras!
With that out of the way, I'd like to ask you camera gurus a quick question about something that has been bothering me. Today I opened up some RAW files from my most recent shoot and saw that the file was 8 bit. Shouldn't the files be at 14 bit uncompressed?
I know the maximum bit for .jpeg is 8, so is that why it's changing, since I'm skipping Lightroom and directly going to PS (which I eventually turn into a .jpeg file?)
Thank you very much and I appreciate any help! :salute:
Cheers,
Gino Troian
