Not the gold Df..but the all black with the 50mm f/1.8g. The only lens on this trip.

I think I have now found the reason why the picture doesn't show, Rayyan.

After http: there are three slashes instead of two slashes in the url address of the Picture.

I agree, and I think the reason is simple: Photos taken with lenses that show the world in a way that we cannot see it with the naked eye often look more "interesting". That also goes for macro and photos with a very shallow DOF.

Have a safe journey, Rayyan. I know it will be interesting :)

Thanks for letting us peep into your Df travel diary, Rayyan.

It's like being in the airport together with you while keeping an eye with the Departure Screens, I love that atmosphere.

Looking forward to the continuation, have a nice flight

My shelter in the forest. Looks nice, no? I arrived unannounced to shelter
From the rain.

The keeper was reluctant to let me in..dripping wet.
The room was cold, damp and just one tiny bulb.

The floor was even colder and damper..as was the bedding provided.
No hot water. Cold was the tap water.

It rained all night with thunder and lightening..kept me shrivelled up awake
most of the night...

Rayan: Nice one! Particularly like the greens (colorwise) and how you captured the impression of the "hut", overgrown with all that flora.

Have a nice trip, enjoy!

The elders in this forum, including me might remember the movie , a walk in the clouds '. Well I could not resist. No vineyards but tobacco and some agri products.

I could catch them wispy clouds in my cupped palms.

What a feeling.!

Jack, swissblad...appreciated gentlemen:salute:

I stumbled into the hotel. Mud soaked, smelling like a rhino's backside.

I have a reservation, I said.

She looked at me. Was that admiration in her eyes?

What name sir? The ' sir ' was the training.

Rayyan.

Deft fingers moved across the keyboard. Did I detect a flinch?

The Governor's suite, sir. Up and down she looked. They looked. I was tired and sleepy and filthy.

Cash or credit, she asked.

How did the Governor pay.

Cash.

Cash it is my girl.

We need your passport sir. I gave it to her. Up and down they looked.

Your luggage is already in your suite sir.

When did the Governor return to the Netherlands ? Give him my regards, I said as two ladies accompanied to show me how to operate the lights , phone, a/c etc.

Jack, Shelby, Ben, Steen, Jorgen; thanks.

I want to change my room, I requested.
We were collected in group in the square room of my suite.

Sir, is there a problem?
Yes, I said. They waited attentively.

IBS, I said. I suffer from IBS. When I need to go, I need to go..like yesterday.
I do not have to use a golf cart to get to the washroom.

Did you miss your flight sir. Glad to get rid of me tone.

Sir. A young assistant squeaked. I know sir. In the Century Mall.

What?, I questioned.

The Sony A7ii with IBIS. New. Sir 24 mega dots.

No, I said. IBS. Intermittent bowel syndrome .

Sir wants to go to the IBIS hotel. The Governor's family owns that chain sir.

I had had enough.

And I do not like to see dead people from my balcony in the rectangle room.

Dead!! A collective gasp.. People don't die in our hotel, sir. Never.

He is still there. Floating like a dead fish. For hours.

We trotted off to the rectangle room. All looked down. Sure enough, there he was dead as can be.

Oh, no sir said a lovely girl. That is not dead man.

That is Fuji San. Meditating his response to Sony.

You sure he didn't commit Hari Kari? They do that sometimes, I hear.

Appreciate your ' likes' guys. You are a swell bunch.:salute:

Another day nears its end. I miss home, I miss my family.

The last boarding call has been made. It is a long flight.

As I passed the security checks, they asked me:

Photographer?

No, I said. A traveler, going back home.
