starting with 19 + 45 + 85

if it works...

with a TC 1.4x : 19 / 26 / 45 / 63 / 85 / 119

with a TC 1.6x : 19 / 30 / 45 / 72 / 85 / 136

with a TC 1.7x : 19 / 32 / 45 / 76 / 85 / 144

with a TC 2x : 19 / 38 / 45 / 85 / 90 / 180

for me 1.6 seems the more logical, but the Nikon 1.6 is really old and needs mods.

if you are using the 1.4 and the 1.7 ( nikon branded need modifications as well... ), then you have :

19 / 26 / 32 / 45 / 63 / 76 / 85 / 119 / 144

I have a modified TC-14E III - works great with the 19. Resolution is a little better than the 24 PCE, but I generally use the 24 for filters. 24 + 1.4 is not too bad either - not as good as a Zeiss 35, but usable. Exif shows the unmagnified FL & aperture. This is all on a D810.

I'm traveling this week, so don't have examples to show at the moment.

do you think, the 1.7 will be as good ?
