EFCS on Nikon D810

It's my understanding that EFCS on the D810 only works in MU mode. I should be able to use LV then. Is this correct? I loved my D800 and didn't pay attention to shutter shock unless using longer lenses and viewing at 100%. I'd like to be able to use EFCS in standard AF-S or AF-C modes for a more spontaneous flow to my shoots.

Yes, and you can actually initiate it with the 3 second mirror-up delay. I have this set and saved in a special "mode" I use for landscapes, however I use LV separately and have the AF set to rear button so the shutter trip doesn't initiate AF.
