For a while now, I've been considering buying a used D810, but I've been struggling to find a relatively lightweight lens combo to makes it a valid option for travel. This new lens, combined with Tamron's 17-35mm f/2.8-4 and the 85mm f/1.8 that I already have, might just do it.

I'm missing the optical viewfinder, the image quality, the battery life and not least the exposure latitude at ISO 64 of the D810. The two lenses are $800 plus 600, and the weight 800 and 500g (do they match price and weight at Tamron?), and I won't be able to buy quality lenses for MFT for much less than that, not even second hand.
I don't know when, or even if, this will happen, but I'm warming up to it. In any case, I'll keep MFT as well, the bodies that I have and some small high quality primes for when I want to travel light.
