OK, I can add some portraiture. This is my daughter 7 to 11 months old here (D3x, 135/2 & 24-70/2.8, some with SB-900 flash):

Alex: +1. Beautiful daughter; beautiful photos! The slightly vivid colors make them pop and seem "happier". Very apropos. Cheers, Matt

    Lovely photo.

I've started a blog btw. It will be a sort of day-to-day notebook, with text and photos, just to keep track of time and what it's filled with. Link below.

Thank you guys for kind words. I do enjoy being with my daughter even if I'm very tired after work. But then I get strength and everything gets as it's morning

And she is cute and also funny

Re: Even More Fun Pictures with Nikon

Got to cover the Mercedes Benz Corporate Run last Thursday. Intense fun trying to pick out the team I was asked to cover out of this crowd (since they decided to wear "easy-to-spot" white t-shirts):

    (There were 20,000 participants)

There were some para-athletes there too (you really have to admire their spirit):

(I wouldn't arm wrestle either of these guys)

The winners pulled in some very impressive times for a 5K run:

    All shot D700 + 70-200 f/2.8 VR-I

rayyan: Thank you for your gracious words. I shot that lens at f/2.8 all day to see what it did. I'm very pleased with the results. The women appeared to be waiting for someone. Hopefully she's not as forlorn as the image suggests. That singer dates beck to the 70's/80's! His name's Jimmy Paige. I haven't seen him around for a long time? And, to date me, my wife was at Woodstock!

Lloyd: Thanks. I like this photo a lot. I've been studying photographs posted here that i like and deliberately processed this one different. I didn't try to draw every last detail out of the shadows and i didn't sharpen it any. I'm generally guilty of over-processing. I want to be able to see every pixel!!

Hey! How's everyone? Doing well if you can judge by all the wonderful images here.

Beautiful postcards, Rayyan. I really like the composition of the second, and the use of the silhouettes in the first is very effective. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Lloyd. A shifting day of part gloom and part sun. Makes for some interesting light sometimes.

Tim: +1. Elegant simple composition. Color's great. There's something refreshing about a pair of ducks in today's world.

    Cheers, Matt.
