Even More Fun Pictures with Nikon

Littlest fan. Came across this pair near the finish of Stage Two of the Tour of Utah. "Grandpa Steve", and his 14-month-old granddaughter, who clapped and cheered, and generally acted like she knew exactly what was going on here. Simply irresistible.

D300; 70-200/2.8 VR @ f4:
Very nice. I like the bicycles in the background. They add to the story. The DOF is just perfect.

Tim,
I feel like I'm looking down into a tiny world with this photo. Very pretty, and the colors are captured so well. (I struggle with greens when I use the D700, probably why I prefer the S5. Sometimes I use the D2X profile in C1, instead of the D700 profile. The greens from the D2X profile are more as my eye sees them....sorry to go off topic.)

Thanks Cindy! The D2Xs is the only digital Nikon I've ever owned and I've always liked the greens. Consequently, I've never understood people's complaints about Nikon's color. Maybe some of the newer Nikon digitals handle that color differently. I will say that since I started processing the D2Xs RAWS in C1 I've had a renewed excitement for the Nikon files. If you haven't already, you might give C1 a try for yours.

(edit: oops, just reread your post and see that you are using C1)

This poor, battered sign gets knocked over and ground up against the gravel every spring at ice out. They just keep putting it back up. Waste not, want not, eh?

Took the fuji out today to look at flowers in the park. Some smaller creatures were admiring the zinnias, too.

I tried myself in love story photography today, so here are first two shots:

well, I have more... a lot more! Two 8 Gb CF's are just very small storage! As I've learnt today.

Any suggestions are very welcome!
