Guys, so many truly wonderful stuff posted here in a few days it's hard to know where to begin. Splendid portraits from Carsten (love the rear focus with hair reflections and the blurry look in the mirror), Thomas (beautiful light and smiles), Rayyan (this last one's just fantastic).

I renew though my request of ban for the infamous Steve M. on unfair competition basis. :wtf:
Seriously, you're pushing the limits here. Series is simply top notch.

Matt, the market shots are getting better and better. The new sign composition deserves a large print.

Lloyd, you runners look so genuinely happy you make me want to run. Nice catch indeed.

Thanks for the close-up shot, Steen. They look like catsear (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catsear).

I shoot them. Though I have never ever seen them in such abundance! I need to keep Croatia in the list.:)

Visible:

In UV:

[Sorry, almost no Nikon gear was used to make these. Olympus E410, Noflexar 35/3.5, Filters- UV/IR cut for Visible and Baader U 2" for UV plus a hacked SB-24 (well, one bit of Nikon ;) )]

Thanks, Steve. Here is the same variety (shot 3 years ago) using a hacked D40x (dedicated UV cam), Noflexar 35/3.5 and a hacked SB-24.

My UV pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vivek-iyer/sets/72157600151220643/

The majority of them were shot using Nikon cams (various lenses) until a few years ago. Now, I no longer use Nikon for UV or IR. With the advent of liveview, shooting in UV and IR have leapfrogged to the 21st century (thanks to Panasonic's NMOS sensors.).

Corlan: Thank you for your comments! These macros are sensational. There's something joyful about looking at something that closely. Maybe it's the sense of discovery; seeing something normally hidden. Maybe, I'm just weird.

Cheers, Matt
