Thank you guys for kind words. I do enjoy being with my daughter even if I'm very tired after work. But then I get strength and everything gets as it's morning :)

And she is cute and also funny :)

Got to cover the Mercedes Benz Corporate Run last Thursday. Intense fun trying to pick out the team I was asked to cover out of this crowd (since they decided to wear "easy-to-spot" white t-shirts):

(There were 20,000 participants)

There were some para-athletes there too (you really have to admire their spirit):

(I wouldn't arm wrestle either of these guys)

The winners pulled in some very impressive times for a 5K run:

All shot D700 + 70-200 f/2.8 VR-I

Matt: no matter what lens! Beautiful moments. The lady looking out across
the waterway, the inn..wonderful. she is lost in thought, admiring or thinking over a problem. Love the forlorn feel.
The musician seems to have migrated over from Woodstock! dates him, dates me. Good times are here again in Seattle.
Regards.
rayyan: Thank you for your gracious words. I shot that lens at f/2.8 all day to see what it did. I'm very pleased with the results. The women appeared to be waiting for someone. Hopefully she's not as forlorn as the image suggests. That singer dates beck to the 70's/80's! His name's Jimmy Paige. I haven't seen him around for a long time? And, to date me, my wife was at Woodstock!

Lloyd: Thanks. I like this photo a lot. I've been studying photographs posted here that i like and deliberately processed this one different. I didn't try to draw every last detail out of the shadows and i didn't sharpen it any. I'm generally guilty of over-processing. I want to be able to see every pixel!!

Matt, Great Lighting! It almost looks like he's wearing a "Yamaka"!:)
Excellent!
Steve: Thank you for both of your comments.

Cheers, Matt
