Thanks Keith. That definitely was a right place/right time event (I was fortunate to have my bag with me and the 10-20 on the camera as well). This disappeared within a couple minutes.

Every August I visit the same island on the Aegean. This has been going on for seventeen years now. This year I took my Sigma SD14 and 30mm/1.4 with me. Familiar location, new lens...

Nice Osman,

You seem to have a nice sharp copy. I see softness on the right side of the grapes, but those are probably just in the OOF range if you were using a large aperture. Nice compositions!

A few gorge shots with the Sigma DP2s. I actually like these images better than those I shot earlier with the Canon 5DMKII and L glass. That little Foveon sensor is impressive and if the SD1 is as good with 3x the output pixels I'll be tempted to give up the Canon body and modify the SD1 to EF mount.

Very nice shots Osman. The 30mm f/1.4 seems to be very sharp and probably one that I would consider if I go with the SD1.

Thank you, Carl. 30mm f/1.4 is indeed very sharp, probably one of the best Sigma has to offer for its DSLR models.
Your DP2s shots are among the best I've seen so far; you've got all the colors right.

What amazing detail you get from these 4MP... I have this printed 16x24 on the wall. The crane cables on the right are quite clear.

Fog on the Hudson River - Looking NW from near the Staten Island Ferry. Sigma DP1

best,
