I do find that Sigma sensors tend to struggle with skin tones - not too sure about the first two but the last one is very good indeed.

Of course, the detail is spectacular.

to me the first one looks overprocessed, to much saturation and contrast

    Re: Sigma DP3M

Thanks for the comments. I also find the DP3M to be pretty harsh at times for skin texture. That extra microcontrast tends to highlight every crease and beauty mark. I did do some local adjustment in Lightroom to help balance this effect on my wife's skin. This wedding was fun to take some shots with the DP3M because of the Indian outfits we were wearing had a lot of texture and color. I also have some shots with my A7rII and the pictures definitely have a different look.

As far as the saturation/contrast is concerned, I'm curious what browser you are using? On my screen, Chrome and Firefox show the images correctly, while Edge and IE way oversaturate my images. I'm no expert in color management, and I've had trouble getting my images to look the same across all monitors.

I love the sunstars the DP3M produces. Very defined and a nice number of arms. This image gets a bit destroyed by flickr's jpeg compression... it looks just stunning on my 5K monitor.

Sometimes the technicalities of White Balance et al just fall by the way side and you simply have to step back and applaud. That's a beautifully taken and processed photo!

Love the Merrill sensor for capturing fur, and the flare on this camera can be fun & colorful at times too.

My parents own a vacation home in Napa. This was taken the day before the fires there. Luckily their house survived, but most of their neighborhood was completely destroyed. The house you see in the background is no longer there.

I didn't want to press 'like' because it is poignant story but it is a good photograph. I'm glad for your parents but feel sympathy for people who lose their home this way.

40G/60R in SPP's monochrome mode (not a fan of 100% Blue). I don't think that there's another sensor/lens combo that beats the DP3M for B&W.View in new tab for full-size.

This is taken downstream of Sgwd Yr Eira on the Four Falls Trail in the Brecon Beacons.
