Sigma SPP monochrom

Among the Sigma announcements was a "monochrom" version of its somewhat painful foveon image processing software. I'm a little puzzled in that the current software handles BW quite well but perhaps this might wring out better results at higher ISOs. Thoughts?

Color Mixer
This function alters the RGB proportions across the entire image. Different from a contrast adjustor, it allows the photographer to realize his or her vision. This function makes possible monochrome photographs that appear to have been shot with color filters.

Film Grain Effect
This function replicates the graininess of classic film. The size and roughness of the grains can be adjusted.

It is just great to have this addition to SPP. This sensor has already proven to be good with B&W. (Not by me, I like colour, but I will sure give it a try.)
It also means that they continue to develop SPP further which is a good thing and neccesary.

I think it look yummy and actually the more I look at it I think the new DP3M does too.

The samples in the page are not striking for me. Look a bit muddy. It is a good development in the right direction. When the price hits below 600 Euros, I may consider getting a DP2 M.

If it gets rid of banding at higher ISOs, that'd be awesome. The site says it improves high ISO function.
