Sigma with interchangeable lens mount

Some people commented that the Merrills are not modifiable as yet, though "The Photographer" mentioned that the DP3M has been hacked.

It looks like they are modified Sigma DP originals, they are not Merrills. I do not see any value it them. However if you send a DPxM and get modified successfully, please share your results with us.

If we're talking about the Merrills, then why bother at all?
The lenses, especially on the D2M and DP3M seem to be fabulous and have very good AF locking capabilities. The lenses seem to be mated to the camera perfectly as intended, any third party lenses despite how good optically, can never match with the camera perfectly.

If not having camera profiles in LR wasn't bad enough already, I'd find it reasonable to believe; while the idea has novelty to it, it's nothing more than that! However, each to their own!

I would like to see one of the Merrils converted first, Sven. I would think they are not different than the other DPs. They all have the same type of sensor, shutter, etc.
