I really like this one, Louis. A strong composition, interesting content, and the perspective gives a sort of a grand sweep to it.

Exquisite graduated blacks in this image. Nice full gamut of light.
Love the light ray bouncing off the water.

Like it a lot
Thank you very much, Tim!
Venice is a peculiar and special puzzle of deep shadows and strong light, where light is sort of liftet by the surrounding ocean, although the ocean will not be present, and will just be felt as being hundred of miles away, despite the channels.
Venice can be a state of mind. The lack of cars and motoring traffic except for boats, gives the absence of annoying sounds a special room for the sound of softness.
The lady and the dog was playing with an old tennis ball, the soft sound from the ball hitting the walls and the ground, the gentle footsteps from the dog against the marble pavement were filling the intimate and small acoustic room.
Tourists despite, you can get off, take an escape through a dark narrow passage, here, or everywhere, and suddenly you are all alone or together with some locals, and if you open the mental aperture at max, hold your breathe, give you time, perhaps close your eyes for a second, you often can feel the mood, sometimes as strong and overwhelming, as if you would be able to cut it out in small pieces with a sharp knife, and take it with you in your pocket.
The only demand will be the state of fully open aperture behind your eyes.
Then it might recharge your battery’s for several months, perhaps a year, if you are letting it through.

Panorama of four handheld captures created using the new panorama merge feature in Lightroom 6. Jeez that Ricoh lens is sharp, sharp, sharp!
