    Epson RD-1 Digital Rangefinder camera

I have been playing with this camera and it's been a lot of fun. Definitely requires a different mindset, but it's a great photography instrument..

I owned and shot the Epson RD-1 on a couple of occasions many years ago. There's a certain look to the files, especially in B&W that is unique to the camera. Epson's control layout and the winder etc was visionary I think and sadly nobody else really picked up on the ergonomics.

If you thought that the Leica M8 had IR bleed issues in colour then you've never used an RD-1 - they kind of invented that 'issue' (or non issue in B&W actually). The crop factor was a pain but still a great camera in the global scheme of things

Enjoy what is still quite a unique camera. One thing to watch for is the batteries over time.

I'm not sure about the color bleed issue. I got some decent color images out of it, but the B&W are somehow "special"... Anyway, here are some of the color shots.
