Apparently, Amsterdam has a large, but well trained rabbit population...

But I have seen that building in books. It is rather famous, but I get what or who for.

There are rabbits in the parks and outskirts but I never see them in center walking down the streets.

'Imbued with socialist ideals, the Amsterdam School style was often applied to working-class housing estates'

This is a portal in the same housing block.

Taken today with the GRIII as I undertook my 'lockdown' exercise. It wasn't my intention to take photographs but I always carry the GRIII when I go out for a walk and I did like this abandoned pram.

Daar heb je geen Corona-crisis voor nodig, Michiel.
Hier de Kalverstraat op een zondagochtend in augustus 2019 en bijna geen "kip" te zien ...

:chug:
Yes unbelievable! Good to see a 'kip' though :ROTFL: The poor people who have to speak English don't understand a thing of this. :ROTFL:

I ran Bart's comments through a online Dutch to English translation yesterday. I could be mistaken, but it seems that something has been lost in the translation.

"You don't need a Corona crisis for that, Michiel. Here the Kalverstraat on a Sunday morning in August 2019 and almost no "chicken" can be seen".

Lovely - but did you see the “kip”, Gary ?

I don’t see either a live chicken, dead chicken or “kip in blik” (canned chicken, per the Dutch to English translation I used).

Maybe I need a bigger/better monitor, I’m going blind or I don’t know what a Amsterdam chicken looks like.

In that case, I’m really stumped and have to give up looking.

Proving Michiel is right...”The poor people who have to speak English don't understand a thing of this.”

It's not all that bad, they're just 'silly' nicknames (slang) for the police.
I'll bet in your neck of the woods there are also one or two in use that the poor people who have to speak Dutch don't understand a thing of ...
