    Pentax K-5 lens corrections setting

I'm allergic to camera manuals and was wondering if someone could tell me whether the lens correction setting matters if one is shooting RAW and processing in Lightroom.

Also, does the choice of PEF or DNG affect lens corrections?

Amin, I'm not much better with manuals, but to my understanding the corrections only effect JPEG output.

Ah, thanks. I haven't noticed much color fringing with any of my lenses, so I'm thinking LR3 is doing some correction despite that setting being "Off" in camera.

I think it is JPEG only. There are Adobe lens correction profiles available for some lenses for LR. Does a good job on correcting CA and distortion on my 18-135mm

You need to acquire some allergy medicine and figure this out for yourself.

It's a severe allergy. Very dangerous.

    Thanks, emr and Lee!
