@Joe: how could I have ignored this ? Love the delicate structures of the flower and lichen.

@Neil: what an excellent image, fine colours and amazing detail of the bee's head.

    All the very best ...

CROTONS: long (6-8"), narrow (1") spiraling leaves of brilliant color...shot with the 35 Macro lens...focused on the antenna-like structure at the tip of the leaves...to be honest: shot at high noon, so there is quite a bit of burning and dodging,, along with some cropping.

35 Macro revisited on the Labor Day dawn patrol...this is a good all-round lens, not just a macro.

Lovely weather for a change and I fancied a bit of close-up work in the local park.

    Hi there Roy,

sorry, seems I have missed your reply.
Yes it is a fine lens and it works great with the Leitax-mount on the K5.

    how's you X-Pro1 venture coming along ?

    Thank you and kind regards.

    Re: Fun With Macros

    Hi Bart,
I dont tend to do macro(no reason really)or possess a macro lens,so this must make me the perfect guy to respond
    I do have a 4x filter though!
A poor effort posted as an aside to saying in best X File stylie "you are not alone and the truth is out there"
    Regards
    Malc
ps.I really enjoy seeing your shots and that bit is definately not tongue in cheek.
