I sure do, live down on the Peninsula but I'm in the city often to shoot. We'll definitely get together, would be good to meet another Q fan!

It's a lens I have been waiting for since April :-) But need to think about it due to a couple of options I am thinking at the moment.

Sometimes it amazes me what I can pull out of the Q as a tool in my hands.

    Portrait, F1.9, 1/6 (! that's some IS), ISO 6400 no less:

Considering the size of the shutter, not surprising actually.

Umm... how so.. it's still an ISO 6400 shot for a "tiny sensor" as many reviews and several people decried... or are you referring to the IS?

    Re: Fun with the Q

I was referring to the IS. The shutter being so small doesn't generate a lot of shake.

Ok, ic what you are saying now, but I am not talking about the shutter, but the camera shaking in my hands. It's a 1/6th of a second shot and I am holding the camera in front of me. On a moving bus.

    Re: Fun with the Q

A stroll with the Q + 06 telephoto zoom in Seattle.. first time I really put this lens through its paces. I must say, Seattle is AMAZING photographically speaking. Lots going on but enough space to walk, enough lines/buildings, architecture, historical tunnels, this and thats and light light light... really. This just this morning from a morning stroll of 1 hour.
    (some shots).

    More stuff from today! Yay!

This one is a bit "hot" exposure wise but I still think it works.

Snapshot portrait test to see what you can do with the 06, bokeh-portrait wise:

Well Ricardo, it's pretty clear what gives the best results ...
But you already knew that of course.

Still, perhaps you might have a look at the In-camera JPEG settings ?
Contrast f.i. seems to be quite strong.

    All the very best.

For the Jpeg one I think it may have been a double contrast in a way with the post. I do like some of the jpegs engine contrast sometimes though that can also be dialed down. Thanks for the comment :-)
