Got that hammer too from a friend. Yeah :-\

What do you think about 06 lens?
Great lens. It's the kind of lens the Q needs- surprisingly small, unique for being so long and constant F2.8 plus it's actually pretty good. If Pentax can keep up doing unique lenses this way, the Q mount I think can be taken quite seriously. I still say they should re-issue the 01 as an f1.0 prime.

I really like this shot... there is just something about the woman looking out the window that I find very appealing.

Thanks for the look. Glad you like. To me it looks like a scene from some movie.

C'mon Hakkalo, you can do better than just two people's backs !
I'd like to see you try again with this odd lens.

    Kind regards.

It really is a weird lens, isn't it ? But beautiful looking in this fine brass housing.
Must be heavy, too, after all it's a large format lens.
But can you actually get sharp-ish pictures ? Or any detail at all ?

    Thank you

    All the very best.

To one person this is just two people's backs, and to another it is a symphony of complementary color

I find it real hard to use my old time c and d mounts on the Q - kind of frustrating

    Re: Fun with the Q

Well, I actually never thought I would be posting here, but thanks to all the great examples shown and especially thanks to Ricardo I am now lucky owner of a Pentax Q with 01 prime. I have the camera since yesterday and I must say I am impressed so far and slowly trying to get familiar with it.

Some samples, of the last 24 hours ....

    Re: Fun with the Q

Nice first batch of "first shots." BTW, upgrade the firmware ASAP. If you think the camera is good now, it is notably better with the latest firmware patch.

Note the 01 lens has a firmware upgrade to to version 1.01 and the Q latest firmware is 1.10

Sorry I missed your question! I thought there Q's but looks like pentax has given the same aF speed to the Q that the Q10 has. Looks like the image quality is too close to each other to say. I would have to use a q10 for a
    Bit to know.
