    Multi mount Pentax

Very cool idea, particularly for someone with lots of OM, CY and Nikkor lenses... like me

Huh?! Not for WR bodies, what could that mean ?
    Doesn't work/fit or only lose WR ?

    Still, interesting piece of kit

    Kind regards.

The lens mount is apparently designed differently on the WR bodies, but they have one under development. Now the question is: which of the compatible bodies has the best viewfinder for manual focusing?

    Re: Multi mount Pentax

This is extremely interesting. One question....unless I misunderstood the description of this mount, since the sensor to flange distance between a Nikon and Pentax lens is quite different (hence the reason previous adpaters needed an optical element), how can this new mount take both Nikon and Pentax lens and both lenses are able to focus to infinity? If the answer is one of those lenses overshoots infinity by a wide margin, that would explain things. Again all interesting.

The Nikon distance is 1.04 mm more. In the video, a thin ring is mounted on the Nikkor lens. Can that have something with it to do?

    Re: Multi mount Pentax

Around $300 for a slightly use K-r + $98 for the lens mount ring + $105 for a KatzEye focusing screen with split screen = $500

The alternative would be the Canon 5D Mark I, which is of course full frame, but that's at least $500 for body only. Then comes adapters for each lens type and extra for focusing screen from Canon. The Canon is also much bigger and much heavier, but the viewfinder is vastly superior of course.
