The Colormunki is the newest from X-Rite. Basically, calibrate monitor, printer and projector with one tiny device.

    $499. Anyone want one?

Looks like a tape measure. I gather it doesn't do ambient light adjustments?

The feature chart says it does ambient light measurement.
How does it compare with the i1?
What is printer profiling by the iterative small chart method?

Has anyone here used one of these guys? The i1 is outside of my budget and most of my work isn't straight inkjet, but this sounds very interesting.

I have in review right now. Very impressive product. Not only calibrates the monitor and printer, but allows you to link the profiles together and even link the profile to a file before you send it to someone else to view.

"Printer profiling by iterative small chart method" means that the calibration software prints out a target image that has several bands of colors. You then scan the bands and the software analyzes the input and prints out a second chart. You scan the second chart and then a profile is created (for the paper used).
