Thinking about a canon ipf6100

I'm thinking about buying a Canon ipf6100. Anyone got this printer? Any comments? I have a ipf5000 now and would like 24" printing capability. Also what do you guys do with discarded used large format printers, I would not like to throw it in the landfill.

Surely the manufacturer would agree to returns for ?recycling. Its becoming a no no I've heard in the news to through away to landfil cellphones, computors...

Canon will not take them back.....I may give it to a friend.
