Epson 7880

Just returned to Florida where my printer is a five years old Epson 7880. For five years this printer has been maintenance free which to me is amazing given the moderately high use.
This year I turned the unit on; power cleaned it; and it produced a perfect printed colored grid.
I am fortunate to own a lot of high end photographic equipment, but none of it has been as dependable as this Epson printer

Sounds like it would be a good base to convert to Jon Cones black and white Piezography inks.
