Different profiles for web and print

I have recently calibrated my monitor to 80CD, having used 90 for years. At 80, I am getting better print matching but I have got some feedback telling me that my web images are looking hot. When I look at images processed previously, they look a bit dark. This brings me to the question of whether 80CD is useful for print only and I should use 90 normally.

i know that I have only looked at a tiny sample but I am hoping to tap the communal wisdom to help my research.
