Is it any good or good enough yet for your hummers, K-H ?
Thanks Bart. Well, nope for the hummers using the electronic shutter.

According to
Sony A7S III Review

Quote: "It has a 2x faster readout speed than a conventional sensor." :facesmack:

A nice improvement, but very poor compared to the A9, A9 II.
For Hummers in Flight one would have to use the mechanical shutter.

Also, 12 MP for birding is not enough.

However, I think it is a superb, outstanding camera for the intended purpose.
Namely video and still shooting for available light.

I think for birding we have to wait for the A9 III, maybe in a year or two. :salute:

Karl-Heinz - Given that the bill looks too large for a WB, and the coloration plus "whiskers" around the bill - I'd lean more twds a Say's Phoebe.

Many thanks David, much appreciated. Let’s go with that. :salute:
Also thanks to my neighbor Corry, she agrees with that.
Corry is a very knowledgable bird watcher and photographer!
That settles the issue for me and I corrected the above title.

Here is another shot of the Say's Phoebe.
