K-H,

especially this shot is award winning awesome!

Peter
Many thanks Peter. I appreciate your feedback very much.
IIRC I used Pro Cap Hi for this shot.

I tried a few times Pro Cap Lo with C-AF Tr and IBIS ON - but I saw some jitter in the EVF.
Also the system then didn't seem as responsive as I would like it to be. :facesmack:

That PL 200/2.8 is apparently one tough cookie ...
Many thanks Bart. Hmm, how about that!
It seems only the E-M1.2 that causes trouble and not the E-M5.2.

I better do the FW update now.
Although I currently have no plans to buy the PL 200/2.8.

However I am interested how the Sony FE 400/2.8 turns out. :facesmack:
Those two lenses seem to be competing for the same reach though.

For the same reach, yes. But for the same price ...

Well Bart, you also get more metal and glass! :ROTFL:  :ROTFL:
However, the A9 is such a superior camera IMHO.
So I intend to get some proper tele glass for it! :watch:

I hadn't used my 40-150/2.8 with MC-14 in awhile. After updating FW to 2.1, my E-M1.2 seems to continue to work just fine with this lens. Of course this update targeted an issue with the E-M1.2 not correctly focusing the PL 200/2.8.

Olympus E-M1MarkII + M.40-150mm F2.8 + MC-14 @ ISO 200, FOCAL LENGTH 210.0 mm, APERTURE f/4.5, EXPOSURE TIME 0.0004s (1/2500)

Looking at this image I see no urgent need to acquire the PL 200/2.8 as well, also considering all my other FT, MFT lenses that cover the 280 and 400mm range.

One observation I have, images look best if one is close enough to resolve feather detail!

Bart, here is a video of bees drinking water and constantly pumping their abdomen. First a still image.

Olympus E-M1 + M.300mm F4.0 + MC-14 @ ISO 200, FOCAL LENGTH 420.0 mm, APERTURE f/8, EXPOSURE TIME 0.00625s (1/160)
