as the title says... i probably went a wee bit overboard (i'm not known for my restraint), but it's just to show you what a difference curves can make...

eta: dodging and burning can do wonderful things as well, but it's on my no-no list until my arm gets a bit better. this image could probably be further enhanced by it.

It was a nice bright afternoon here today, with a cold crisp light.

Wow! I think the DP1 should be known as the 'texture cam' - that's a lovely shot Will... and I think I prefer the first, lower contrast image outside the pub - great stuff!

Here's one of my favourite DP1 shots from yesterday...

...and a B&W shot from the same hike

This is a fabulous camera to have in your pocket!

I also had the E-420 with me + the 12-60mm SWD zoom lens... which was very useful to isolate subjects in the distance.

Boot's Folly, illuminated by a shaft of sunlight on the distant hillside. (120mm EFL shot)

    Snowsprite (24mm EFL)

    Kind Regards

    Brian

You get better and better with the DP1 Brian. And the B&W photo is just outstanding.

Brian, the color shots are great but that B&W image is terrific!

Thanks cam and brian, I'm beginning to think I won't be using my 5D very much any more, unless I really have to use an ultra wide or tele lens for a particular shoot.

(and cam, I don't mind you messing with my photo at all, feel free to mess with me anytime!)

Will / fab ......... the red oranges against the dark Superb
    Brian / the B&W snow,rock & sky is Dynamite
the DP1 seems to have its own Magic.....

and yet here I am having second thoughts about having ordered the DP!
(which is on backorder at B&H)
You see I am becoming an adrenaline junkie
with shooting demonstrations & events (today the Pope in NYC)
sooooo I am now thinking of getting a bigger camera & lens instead
At present I have the GRD 2 & (Dlux 3 which I hardly use)
So whats a girl to do ?
    Best, helen

The E-4x0 is working extremely well for me (the Y-strap is perfect for low profile, protected carrying) and with the new E-420+pancake release, the E-410 price is dropping like a stone.

    Kind Regards

    Brian
