Hello everyone,

would you please take a couple of minutes, to rate the sample images from our last Safari Group event in Whitby here :

Whitby Event Highlights

Please rate each image by clicking the appropriate number of stars (more stars equals better). You can rate as many pictures as you want, but you can only rate each image once.

I'd appreciate reading your thoughts on the rating process... as we're looking to make improvements where possible.

The ratings will be used to influence the decision on who in our group, will win an Olympus E-420 + pancake lens! We'll be making the presentation at our next Safari Group event, a BBQ in the centre of the country. Please PM me, if you would like more information about this and all future Safari Group events.

Kind Regards

Brian

I'll be visiting Europe later this year. If it coincides with one of your events, I will certainly try to join. I need a new camera though. Just returned from the shop, who told me that they can't repair my E-1. The Thai distributor doesn't keep spare part, and they're too lazy to get them from Japan.

I looked at the E-520 while I was there. Very nice camera, and unbelievably cheap. Small viewfinder though. I should really get an E-3. Money, money, money... just bought a Nikon D80 yesterday. Good thing I'm not married :D

Hi Jorgen, the OVF and myriad of controls, coupled with bombproof construction make the E-3 the flagship 4/3rds camera for sure... it's a culture shock after the E-1 in terms of UI, but if you need the power it's well worth the premium over the E-520

Cheers

Brian

Voted, but the images are very disparate, making value judgements between them difficult.

Not been to Whitby for yonks, but looks as I remember it.

Hi Robert,

I've upgraded the rating gallery, based on valuable feedback from visitors... the images are all displayed larger and you can Post a comment for the photographer - also, you only get to see the overall rating *after* you've made your own rating... this is to prevent previous raters affecting your score :)

Kind Regards

Brian,
I will comment when back in NY on a big monitor. These shots look very interesting and should not be judged on my iPhone.
